E-beam evaporation of quartz
News
2012-01-26
Hello Kyle,

evaporating quartz by e-beam will indeed result in amorphous layers.
Depending on the substrate temperature you might find incidences of
local crystallization.

For yielding dense amorphous sio2 layers typically a compaction by
plasma assistance is needed.
